We have installed numerous Bookcases & Libraries over the years in both the home & office environments all over Sydney & the Blue Mountains.

They always add function & aesthetics to the room they are fitted. Often they are built in our ‘Custom Classic” style.

The feature of this Australian Cedar bookcase is its ladder on a brass rail, that neatly wraps around the corner to get to the higher shelves.

This project was commissioned as the Crown Gardens Common Room library. The units are finished in satin polyurethane & designed to blend with the detail in the lifts. Note how neatly the height is changed were the two bookcases meet.

This pair of handsome units are neatly fitted in the niches either side of the fireplace in a terrace house. they blend harmoniously with the Victorian style of the home. They are also brush finished to sit neatly with the period of the original architecture.

This slick contemporary unit houses the T.V., sound system, books & object’ de art. it has 25mm shelves & divisions finished in satin Antique White poly urethane.

This unit was built from a combination of Australian Cedar veneer & solid Surian finished with a walnut stain & clear lacquer. The piece is impressive with its traditional style & brass ladder fittings, enhanced by the clients taste full & eclectic collection of books & memorabilia.

Unfortunately it was difficult to get a shot to do this piece justice. The ladder is 2.1mtrs tall to help you get the proportion, it is finished in black japan to match the floor which is covered. The brass rail & fittings have been “antiqued”.  A traditional ‘Paddington’ cornice was added after this shot was taken finishing it to the ceiling. This also was brush finished & sat in place as if it had been there for the whole century plus years the house had existed.

This is part of a large home office that is built around a corner & across a pair of french doors. We also sourced the matching ornate cornice & built it to the ceiling. As we often do a recycled timber top is used as a durable work surface & to break the colour expanse of the painted surfaces.

This unit is in classic Georgian style with large plinth, pilaster & crown mouldings with the interior a darker contrasting colour to the facade.
